Altamont Longhorn Days!

Gina's best miserable face she could put on.
Ever so beautiful while weathering the storm!
Merralee and I with our INVALID sister Gina!! (Poor Girl)

Dylyn was so happy at the BBQ, even to be held!
Her very favorite face to pull. Yuck! (It's still kinda cute)

This weekend was Longhorn Days, a family tradition. It was so much fun. My sister Gina made her first appearance to the festivities in like ten years, okay maybe not that long. I have a few pictures to post but not too many.

The Babies had a really good time at the Parade. Dylyn loved picking up the candy and by the end of the parade she was about asleep. We went home for a while before the BBQ so that they could take naps.

We went to the BBQ around 4:00 and it looked so stormy outside. It hadn't rained yet, but after about 45 minutes at the park it started to sprinkle and the wind blew. Pretty much it was miserable for about an hour and then it started to clear off, which we were all greatful for. Charley Jenkins who was on Nashville Star this season was the entertainment for the night. He does a really good job, I just wish he would get some new material. They had the annual auction to raise many for the events and brought in a bunch of money, I'm so glad everyone pays for me to party every year. One of the items, an antique looking mirror, sold for $2700 or more!! Outrageous! After that was the slideshow of the week and the fireworks. It was a pretty fun weekend and I'm glad I got to spend it with my family. . . Again!

SORRY!

I got so caught up in putting the video of Dylyn on that I forgot to put the other pictures on. Here they are enjoy.

The Little Princess

This morning was the Altamont Longhorn Days Baby Show. Dylyn and Treycin were entered in the 13-18 month division. They both took second!! We of course know that they are the cutest babies ever. This is a video of Dylyn before I left for Altamont. She is so freakin' cute!!!

These are some pictures of Dylyn and Treycin before they were judged and a couple after. My camera stopped working after Dylyn was done so I didn't get much of Trecyin. :( They're still cute and the only winners I know.

Altamont Longhorn Days is the best. They have activities all week long. Friday night is the Rodeo, and then Saturday there is Breakfast, a Parade, a Little Kids Rodeo, BBQ, Auction, Concert and Fireworks. It's so much fun and a big tradition around these parts. This year I even talked my sister into coming.

Kitchen Floor :) Kitchen Post, Again? :(

Well as if you weren't sick enough of seeing my blasted kitchen, here are some more pictures for you. You may all blame Gina for the repetitive posts. Today we finished putting in our floor. Which, to me, is really exciting. Finally I have a kitchen that feels clean. Well a semi-kitchen. And now we have our fridge and our stove back in the house which is definitely a plus. Now we can stop eating at fast food places, YUCK!!!

Kitchen, AGAIN!!

Well hopefully our kitchen updates will come to an end soon. Today we finished painting and started to lay the flooring. It's kind of exciting to see it finally coming together. The floor will be finished tomorrow for sure. The kitchen felt so dirty when it was down to bare studs. It's feeling much cleaner though. Here are some pictures of the kitchen so far, just with the paint on the walls. I will post later with pictures of the floor. After we get the floor in we can have the fridge and the stove back in the kitchen. YAY!!! Girls, Eat your hearts out. What a STUD!!!

4th of July

This weekend we went camping up to Moon Lake. The babies loved it, most of the time. They got super dirty and had about 6 baths while we were there. Their hands were disgusting and black. We went to the lake on Friday afternoon so the guys could fish and we could at least rinse our feet off. The kids loved the water. By the end all of Garrett and Misty's family had been in the water. Dylyn was like a little fish. She wouldn't leave the water alone. I let her get in the water up to her belly ( I held her of course) and then she would lay down on her belly and kicked her feet. She screamed a lot when we left. The weekend was really fun, other than Dylyn missed her afternoon nap everyday. We had a really good time and we just hope that by the time we go to Rock Creek in August Dylyn will be able to stay a little more clean (haha).

Altamont Ghost

This is the video of the Altamont Ghost that was captured on El Paso's surveillance camera. It's pretty interesting. I do believe it even freaked Garrett out a little bit. It's not even one of those things that is supposed to pop up with a fake ghost to scare you.

Update On Kitchen

This is how our kitchen remodel is going so far. We now have the walls textured. Which means paint is soon to follow. After paint we can lay the floor. That is very exciting because as soon as the floor is in then we can have a fridge in the house again (Something one takes for granted until without one). So things are coming along, slowly, but they will be done one day. I will post more pictures when there is some progress.
